Cinnamon Kitchen’s House of Holi is back to Devonshire Square!

6/03/2019: 1:00 PM

Cinnamon Kitchen’s #HouseofHoli is back for the 5th year – bigger, better and brighter than ever! Leave the dull, grey City at the door, don your protective white suit, and step into the madness at the House of Holi, for thirty minutes of paint-pelting friends, family and colleagues! Sitting amongst the skyscrapers and the concrete, Cinnamon Kitchen, in association with UK’s No.1 Indian beer Cobra, will bring a vibrant injection of colour to the urban environs of the City with the return of their purpose-built party pod – popping up outside Singh’s modern Indian restaurant in Devonshire Square from Wednesday 6th to Thursday 21st March. Get in touch with events@cinnamon-kitchen.com to book your slots for private HOLI play session and private events space hires. The perfect antidote to dull days in the office, teams can kick off their heels, loosen their ties, and experience the spectacular paint throwing festivities that mark the renowned Indian festival of colour. Holi festival itself takes place on Thursday 21st March, announcing the arrival of spring and the passing of winter. A welcome burst of fluorescence following London’s bleak and blustery winter, Holi is a time where families traditionally gather together and cover each other in coloured paint. But of course, no Indian festival would be complete without a feast of delicious dishes and Cinnamon Kitchen will be getting into the spirit with a vibrant five-course Holi menu! To know more about the event, to purchase your tickets and to explore the menu, please click here. We look forward to welcoming you all at the House of Holi!

  • Devonshire Square Easter Tree - Artistic installation

As Easter approaches, Devonshire Square is marking the festivity by hosting a spectacular and colourful Easter Tree in its iconic Avenue. The artistic installation has been conceived and created by the Devonshire Square Team with the aim of raising awareness and funds to support the Honeypot children charity to which the tree is dedicated. The 300 real eggs that decorate the tree have been carefully hand-painted in naïve style by the Devonshire Square Team through a range of painting techniques including water, oil and acrylic paint, along with natural dyes from red and yellow onion skins. The Honeypot children charity is a UK based organization that has been working since 1996 to enhance the lives of vulnerable children and young carers aged 5-12 years. Visitors are warmly invited to take photos of the tree and share them on social media platforms with the hashtag #DSQEasterTree to encourage people to donate for the charity. Donations can be made on line through the following link: http://www.honeypot.org.uk/donate-now/ and collection boxes are also available on all Devonshire Square’s reception desks, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5.30pm. The Easter Tree has been sponsored by the DSQ based, D&D’s restaurants Old Bengal Bar, Fish Market, New Street Grill and New Street Wine Shop.
