"Days of Wine and Mirth" Festival

From Monday 9th to Saturday 14th July, the historical Devonshire Square will turn into a Mediterranean wine oasis as the campus will be hosting the first edition of the “Days of Wine and Mirth” Festival. Visitors will be able to enjoy the finest Provence Rosé in the relaxing atmosphere of the Vins de Provence pop-up bar, a tastefully appointed al fresco pink parlour that will be serving a selection of rosé wines from the Provence region, showcasing the quality and rich variety of the wines produced in Côtes de Provence, Coteaux d’Aix-en Provence and Coteaux Varois en Provence. A unique assortment of deliciously refreshing Portuguese sangria will also be available at the Bacana Sangria pop-up bar which will be serving an exclusive version of the popular drink, produced entirely in Portugal by mixing the best wine grape varieties with a balanced diversity of citric fruits. Both the Vins de Provence and the Bacana Sangria pop-up bars will be open from 12.00 to 9.30pm and will be located in the picturesque surroundings of Devonshire Square’s Central Courtyard, London, EC2M 4YE.   • "Italia, amore mio!" Festival

    From 26th to 30th September, Devonshire Square will be hosting the “Italia, amore mio!” Festival, organised by the Devonshire Square’s Events Team to promote Italian gastronomy and music, whilst fundraising in support of the Italian Red Cross’ earthquake relief effort. The Festival will offer visitors the opportunity to taste some of the most authentic Italian delicacies typical of distinctive regions which are not commonly available in restaurants or gourmandises located outside Italy.   • “Past, Present and Future” Cycle Challenge

    Devonshire Square is delighted to announce its participation in the “Past, Present and Future Cycle Challenge", organized by Coventry University in partnership with Hunters Hill Technology College, a charity organization that provides a structured, calm and sympathetic approach to children that lack confidence or have moderate learning, emotional and behavioural difficulties. The event aims to raise funds for the charity and promote commuting to work via sustainable and environmentally friendly methods. The challenge will take place from Wednesday 21st until Friday 23rd September 2016 and will see 21 heroic and courageous individuals cycling from the Coventry campus to the London campus, a staggering 132 miles away. The cyclists are expected to arrive in Devonshire Square entering the main gate on Cutler Street, which will be the ride finish point, on Friday 23rd, between 11am and 2pm. They will be warmly welcomed with a selection of refreshments kindly offered by Devonshire Square iconic restaurant Devonshire Terrace http://www.devonshireterrace.co.uk/ and free bicycle services from Ultimate Bikes http://www.ultimatebikes.com/.   • London Fashion Week Shows

    On Sunday 18st September, with London Fashion Week in full swing, Devonshire Square will be hosting two off schedule runway shows presented by Oxford Fashion Studio, featuring outstandingly beautiful and visionary collections from young, edgy designers from all continents. Following the success of last September and February’s shows, Devonshire Square is delighted to partner with Oxford Fashion Studio for the third time in supporting some of the most talented and promising rising stars in the fashion industry. The event will take place in the atmospheric ambience of Devonshire Square’s historical Western Courtyard and will consist of two shows – starting at 5pm and 7pm - exhibiting original collections from UK and international designers, ranging from prêt-à-porter to haute couture, including evening and conceptual design.   • Paralympics Sports Fest

    On Wednesday 13th September, Devonshire Square will be celebrating the ongoing Rio 2016 Paralympic Games by hosting both a goalball and a balls competition. The games are organized by UK registered charity Disability Sports Coach and will take place at the end of the Devonshire Square's Avenue from 11am to 2pm. There will be opportunities for employees to compete against their colleagues for boosting morale, encouraging teamwork, improving communication and furthering productivity. Participants will also be invited to separately take part in special challenges where they could win luxury prizes, such as a signed Surrey cricket bats or a bottle of refreshing prosecco!

  • "Cue for Change" Pool Tournament

    From 15th to 25th August Devonshire Square will be proudly hosting in its historic Western Courtyard the second edition of the popular pool tournament “Cue for Change”. The tournament, organised by the Devonshire Square Events Team, will support national charity Dame Kelly Holmes Trust with whom Devonshire Square launched a highly successful charitable partnership last year. The tournament is based on a “Winner stays on” rule with challenges taking place each day from 3.30pm to 5pm on two of the three pool tables, with the two remaining players battling each other to become the “Winner of the Day”. All three tables will be open for use for the rest of the time over the 10 day period. The “Grand Final” will take place on Thursday 25th August at 12.30pm and the prize giving will be conducted by 4-time British Champion and Commonwealth Silver Medallist, GB Judoka, Theo Spalding McIntosh (https://www.damekellyholmestrust.org/athlete/theo-spalding-mcintosh/). The overall winner will enjoy a huge and delicious 4feet Giantini Cocktail offered by Devonshire Square’s iconic restaurant Devonshire Terrace. Both artists have performed internationally and worked with some of the most prestigious names in the Lisbon and San Paolo music scenes.   • Parisian Moulin Rouge Can-Can themed show by Tillie's Can Can

    On Thursday 7th July at 12.30pm, the talented and beautiful looking Tillie’s Can Can dancers will offer Devonshire Square’s audience the sensual and visually engaging routine that they performed for ITV's The Alan Titchmarsh Show, This Morning, Celebrity Big Brother and at some of the UK's top Cabaret venues, including The Dorchester, Hoxton Hall, Proud Cabaret & The Pigalle Club with Cirque de Cabaret. With their alluring moves and spectacular boudoir attires, Tillie’s Can Can will recreate in Devonshire Square the charming and vibrant mood of Parisian Moulin Rouge shows.   • The Cossack Show - Traditional Russian dance performance

    Devonshire Square is delighted to host in its historical Western Courtyard the truly spectacular Cossack Show, a traditional Russian and Ukrainian dance performance. This exceptionally talented dancing troupe enchanted the crowd at the closing award ceremony of the Paralympics in 2014 and wowed the audience at the grand opening of the Easyjet’s new routes to Moscow; The Cossack Show group has appeared in a number of TV shows and performed in the STAG Theatre’s adaptations of “Fiddler on the roof” and Marie Atallah’s “Sing in French” in 2014.   • The London Welsh Male Voice Choir in concert to support The Honeypot Children's Charity

    On Wednesday 29th June at 12.30pm, Devonshire Square will be hosting a FREE attendance lunchtime concert by the London Male Welsh Voice Choir. The concert is part of Devonshire Square's Harlequin Euro Festival and is dedicated to support the Honeypot Children Charity, a UK based organization that has been working since 1996 to enhance the lives of vulnerable children and young carers aged 5-12 years. The charity is celebrating its 20th year anniversary as well as the opening of a new summer house (Honeypot Pen y Bryn) in Powys, Wales, where young carers and vulnerable children can enjoy their own chance at childhood. Donation boxes will be available in the Western Courtyard during the concert and contributions can also be made online on the charity’s official website: http://www.honeypot.org.uk/donate-now/ The 40-strong choir dressed in traditional red and black attire will bring a splash of colour to the charming, historical setting of Devonshire Square Western Courtyard and their powerful, mesmerising voices will create a festive and emotionally solemn atmosphere.   • "The Italian Dream" - Opera concert by internationally acclaimed Tenors Alberto Sousa, Leonel Pinheiro and Alex Tsilogiannis

    Devonshire Square is delighted to pursue its artistic ambition of bringing opera to the “piazza”, helping to bring what was once considered an elitist form of entertainment to a wider audience, as it was in Europe after the opening of public theatres. Devonshire Square has already hosted in its atmospheric Western Courtyard some of the finest opera singers in the world. After the sounding success of Tenori who enchanted the audience during the Devonshire Square’s Love Christmas Festival 2015, the atmospheric Western Courtyard will be resounding with the powerful voices of young, talented tenors Alberto Sousa, Leonel Pinheiro and Alex Tsilogiannis who will be performing on 22nd June from 12 noon to 1pm. The three tenors will be singing a repertoire that includes some of the most beautiful and popular Italian Opera songs, with the accompaniment of Spanish concert pianist and conductor Maite Aguirre.
