Devonshire Square's Diwali Festival

7/11/2018: 5:00 PM

Diwali, the Indian Festival of Lights, represents a fantastic opportunity for WeWork’s Devonshire Square to celebrate both its history and the 10-year anniversary of its iconic Indian restaurant Cinnamon Kitchen. Devonshire Square will be marking this special day by hosting in its atmospheric Western Courtyard a FREE attendance festival that showcases some of India’s most traditional visual arts, Rangoli, and a dance show performed by some of the finest Indian folk & classical dancers in UK. During the event, which will take place on 7th November from 5pm to 7.30pm, guests will also be able to enjoy a complimentary tasting experience of Indian confectionary preparations and canapés, served with rose milk, the traditional Indian drink made with pure rose essence, courtesy of Cinnamon Kitchen.

  • Holi Festival of Colours at Cinnamon Kitchen

Sitting amongst the skyscrapers and the concrete, Cinnamon Kitchen will bring a vibrant injection of colour to the urban environs of the City with the return of our purpose-built party pod – popping up outside the restaurant from 4th to 12th March. The perfect antidote to dull days in the office, workers can kick off their heels, loosen their ties, and experience the spectacular paint throwing festivities that mark the renowned Indian festival of colour on 23rd March. Announcing the arrival of spring and the passing of winter, Holi is a welcome burst of fluorescence following London’s bleak and blustery winter, where families traditionally gather together and cover each other in coloured paint. • Love Christmas Festival

This festive season Devonshire Square is teaming up with homeless charity The Connection to grant Christmas wishes and celebrate the spirit of giving. Taking central stage in Devonshire Square’s historic western courtyard will be a Christmas Wishing Tree entirely decorated with paper hearts on which handwritten wishes from those in need will be hanging. • Celebrity Cruises invites passers-by to see #ADifferentView of their city

Until November 21st, Celebrity Cruises UK is partnering with some of the UK’s most recognised names including adventurer Ben Fogle and wine aficionado Oz Clarke to curate a series of bespoke frames appearing in 20 iconic locations across the UK. Leading Instagrammers have also come on-board and have carefully selected a range of locations designed to break away from the usual tourist hotspots towards a different view of London including New River Walk, Islington, Clink Street, Southwark and also here in Devonshire Square! Each frame is exclusively created from materials such as grass to reflect Celebrity Cruises’ Lawn Club, a half-acre of real grass on the top deck of its 10 award-winning ships. Budding photographers and the general public are encouraged to capture their view and share them online using the hashtag #ADifferentView. These images will then be hosted on a microsite which will also automatically enter participants into a competition to win a 7-night Modern Luxury holiday for two to the Caribbean, alongside other exclusive experiences hosted by Celebrity ambassadors including Ben Fogle and Oz Clarke. The frame is located in the Central Courtyard so be sure to upload your pics and hashtag #ADifferentView!
