Rhythm Gymnastics and Acrobatics Show by Team GB Ambassadors and All Female Acrobatic Troupe

18/07/2019: 1:00 PM

On Thursday 18th July at 1pm, WeWork’s Devonshire Square will be proudly hosting in its Western Courtyard a Rhythm Gymnastics and Acrobatic Show by multi-awarded, top British Gymnasts, Mimi-Isabella Cesar - Team GB ambassador - and Jael Gore, former British champion and English medallist. The athletes will show exceptional level of artistic gymnastics, including an exquisitely graceful and elegant ribbon choreography combined with synchronised throws, catches and power tumbling. The gymnasts’ routines will be followed by a high-energy display of ground-based acrobatics, including high trio balances and hand to hand acrobatics, executed by an all-female acrobatic trio. The show is part of the Devonshire Square’s International Women in Arts Festival, a 4-week programme of FREE attendance, world class performances, organised and curated by the Devonshire Square’s Events Team to celebrate the achievements of Women in the arts, both as performers and as educators, while raising awareness and funds in aid of the Pink Ribbon Foundation. On the event’s day, attendees will be treated to a complimentary tasting experience of delicious white chocolate truffle-shell lollipops filled with raspberry mousse, an exclusive confectionery creation by The Devonshire Club’s Head Pastry Chef and Sugar Artist, Valerie Whatling. For more information on The International Women in Arts Festival, please contact the Devonshire Square’s Artistic Events Team on 02076450800 or email the Devonshire Square Management on frontdesk@devonshiresq.co.uk.

  • Love Christmas Festival

This festive season Devonshire Square is teaming up with homeless charity The Connection to grant Christmas wishes and celebrate the spirit of giving. Taking central stage in Devonshire Square’s historic western courtyard will be a Christmas Wishing Tree entirely decorated with paper hearts on which handwritten wishes from those in need will be hanging. Visitors can read the wishes, and in the true spirit of Christmas, chose to honour them by writing “Honoured” on the hearts and pledging to make the wish come true. For each wish granted, a floating candle will be lit and released onto the beautiful Western Courtyard fountain during a special ceremony on 22nd December 2015. Gifts will then be delivered to The Connection Charity Centre on Christmas Day. The festivities will be celebrated in style surrounded by Devonshire Square’s iconic retailers. This will be supported by a month long programme of music from a talented array of bands, with performances by Abraxas Ensemble, Tenori, with tenors Alexander Grove, Nicholas Ransley and John Hudson, the Enchorus Gospel Choir, Joglaresa, the High Society Brass Band and Sammie Jay. All performances will take place at lunch time (12.30-1.30pm) in Devonshire Square Western Courtyard and are FREE attendance.
