Devonshire Square's "Art for Love" Festival 2018
6/12/2018 - 18/12/2018 12:30 PM - 6:00 PM
From 6th to 18th December, WeWork’s Devonshire Square will be hosting the 5th edition of its very own “Art for Love” Christmas Festival, a 4-week program of FREE attendance world-class artistic performances organised and curated by the Devonshire Square Events Team to support The Connection, London’s busiest homeless charity.
This year’s program includes weekly free attendance performances by international musicians and dancing shows ranging from classical ballet to contemporary dance, including folkloric dance genres such as traditional Irish step dance, all executed by some of the finest professional dancers in UK.
All performances will take place in the historical setting of Devonshire Square’s Western Courtyard where attendees will also be able to pay a visit to the Devonshire Square’s Giving Tree, a unique Christmas tree entirely adorned with red paper hearts on which wishes of those in need have been carefully transcribed in order to give them a chance to be read and honoured by our visitors. All collected gifts will be delivered to The Connection charity on Christmas’s eve.
On Saturday 8th December, Devonshire Square will also be launching the first edition of its Soul Royalty Winter Festival, a soul music live concert that will see the participation of international touring artist Zalon – the talented vocalist who performed as Amy Winehouse’s leading singer for many years - and his guests Jodie Abacus, Leonn, Stephanie Sounds, Gavin Holligan and Teshay Makeda, some of the finest soul, funk and R&B artists in London. The singers have enthusiastically accepted Devonshire Square’s invitation to use their vocal and musical talent to raise awareness and funds in aid of The Connection charity.
Thursday 6th December, from 12.30 pm to 1.30pm: “The Magic of Christmas”, live concert by string orchestra Abraxas Ensemble;
Saturday 8th December, from 5pm to 10pm: Soul Royalty Winter Festival;
