On Sunday 20th May, from 6pm to 9pm, the historical surroundings of Devonshire Square’s Western Courtyard will be the stage for a spectacular opera concert by Roman Tenor Yuri Sabatini.

The talented Tenor, who has been delighting audiences with outstanding performances all over Europe, will take the spectators to a journey of discovery through some of the most romantic and intense songs ever written for the tenor voice.

Sabatini will be accompanied by the Docklands Sinfonia Strings - conducted by Spencer Down - and by the velvet voice of uprising opera star Honey Rouhani, who recently made her West End debut in the role of Musetta in Puccini’s La Bohème at the Trafalgar Studios (Oliver Award Nominee).

Director Spencer Down has been orchestral director for high profile events including concerts for the Queen in the ballroom at Buckingham Palace and the world premiere of Grammy award-winning singer Imogen Heap’s ‘Love the Earth’ at the Royal Albert Hall. He was honoured to conduct the Mayor's Jubilee Band on one of the music barges taking part in the spectacular Queen's Jubilee Pageant on the river Thames.

The repertoire presented during the evening will feature Be My Love, Cielo e Mar, Non ti Scordar di Me, La Danza, Maria (West Side Story), La Spagnola, E’ La Solita Storia del Pastore, Granada, A’ Vucchella, Torna a Surriento, Summertime and many more.
